He played in [Major League Baseball](/source/Major_League_Baseball) (MLB) for the [Pittsburgh Pirates](/source/Pittsburgh_Pirates) (1902–1904, 1906–1908), [Cincinnati Reds](/source/Cincinnati_Reds) (1905–1906), [St. Louis Cardinals](/source/St._Louis_Cardinals) (1909–1910), and [Brooklyn Dodgers](/source/Brooklyn_Dodgers) (1912–1913).

He helped the Pirates win the 1902 and 1903 National League Pennants and played in the [1903 World Series](/source/1903_World_Series).
