# Ed Kassian

**Edward Lawrence Kassian** (June 18, 1933 – June 6, 2022) was a Canadian [ice hockey](/source/Ice_hockey) player with the [Penticton Vees](/source/Penticton_Vees_(senior)). He won a [gold medal](/source/Gold_medal) at the [1955 World Ice Hockey Championships](/source/1955_World_Ice_Hockey_Championships) in [West Germany](/source/West_Germany). He also played for the Prince Albert Mintos, [Saskatoon Quakers](/source/Saskatoon_Quakers), [Vancouver Canucks](/source/Vancouver_Canucks), [New Westminster Royals](/source/New_Westminster_Royals), and [Kamloops Elks](/source/Kamloops_Elks).[1] Kassian died in [Vegreville, Alberta](/source/Vegreville) on June 6, 2022, at the age of 88.[2]
