# Ed Horler

**Edward Bertie Horler** (born 22 September 1995) is an English former [field hockey](/source/Field_hockey) player who played as a forward for England and Great Britain.[1][2]

## Biography

Horler, educated at Millfield, started playing for [Team Bath Buccaneers](/source/Team_Bath_Buccaneers_Hockey_Club) and represented England U-18s and U-21s.[3] He has also played for [Loughborough Students](/source/Loughborough_Students'_Hockey_Club).[4] He played club hockey in the [Men's England Hockey League](/source/Men's_England_Hockey_League) Premier Division for [Wimbledon](/source/Wimbledon_Hockey_Club) from 2017.

He left England in July 2020 to play for [Racing Club de Bruxelles](/source/Royal_Racing_Club_de_Bruxelles_(field_hockey)) in Belgium[5] but returned to Wimbledon for the 2021/22 season and became the club captain.

Horler retired after the 2025 season.[6]
