Harmon was born in North Tonawanda, a [suburb](/source/suburb) of [Buffalo](/source/Buffalo%2C_New_York), in [Western New York](/source/Western_New_York). There he attended [Bishop Gibbons High School](/source/Notre_Dame-Bishop_Gibbons_High_School).
