**Edward Michael Guiney**[1] is an Irish-American [film producer](/source/Film_producer) and co-founder and co-CEO of film and television production company, [Element Pictures](/source/Element_Pictures). He won a [British Academy Film Award](/source/British_Academy_Film_Awards) and was nominated for four more in the categories [Best Film](/source/BAFTA_Award_for_Best_Film) and [Outstanding British Film](/source/BAFTA_Award_for_Outstanding_British_Film) for the films *[The Favourite](/source/The_Favourite_(2018_film))*, *[The Wonder](/source/The_Wonder_(film))* and *[Poor Things](/source/Poor_Things_(film))*.[2][3][4][5] He was also nominated for three [Academy Awards](/source/Academy_Awards) in the category [Best Picture](/source/Academy_Award_for_Best_Picture).[6][7][8]

In 2024, Ed Guiney founded *STORYHOUSE*, a non-profit festival centred around storytelling for film and television. Past panel members have included Academy Award winners [Peter Straughan](/source/Peter_Straughan)[9] and [Kenneth Lonergan](/source/Kenneth_Lonergan).
