# Earle Rafuse

**Earle Albert Rayfuse** (October 16, 1930 – January 17, 1998) was a [Canadian](/source/Canadians) politician. He represented the [electoral districts](/source/Electoral_district_(Canada)) of [Annapolis East](/source/Annapolis_East) and [Annapolis](/source/Annapolis_(provincial_electoral_district)) in the [Nova Scotia House of Assembly](/source/Nova_Scotia_House_of_Assembly) from 1988 to 1998. He was a member of the [Nova Scotia Liberal Party](/source/Nova_Scotia_Liberal_Party).

## Early life and career

Rayfuse was born in [Middleton, Nova Scotia](/source/Middleton,_Nova_Scotia). He was a wholesale food distributor.[1]

## Political career

Rayfuse entered provincial politics in the [1988 election](/source/1988_Nova_Scotia_general_election), winning the Annapolis East riding.[2] In the [1993 election](/source/1993_Nova_Scotia_general_election), he ran in the new riding of Annapolis, and defeated Progressive Conservative cabinet minister [Greg Kerr](/source/Greg_Kerr) by over 3,600 votes.[3][4]

## Death

He died at the age of 67 in 1998.[5]
