**Dylan des Fountain** (born 7 June 1985 in [Cape Town](/source/Cape_Town)) is a former professional South African [rugby union](/source/Rugby_union) footballer. He played mostly as a [centre](/source/Rugby_union_positions#13._Centre) or a [winger](/source/Rugby_union_positions#11._Wing) and represented South African domestic sides the [Blue Bulls](/source/Bulls_(rugby_union)), [Western Province](/source/Stormers) and the [Golden Lions](/source/Lions_(United_Rugby_Championship)), as well as playing [Super Rugby](/source/Super_Rugby) for the [Stormers](/source/Stormers) and [Lions](/source/Lions_(United_Rugby_Championship)). He also spent a season with Italian side [Aironi](/source/Aironi).

He announced his retirement on 19 March 2014 due to a knee injury.[1]
