Canonical URL: https://mediated.wiki/source/Dylan_Murnane > Markdown URL: https://mediated.wiki/source/Dylan_Murnane.md > Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dylan_Murnane > Source revision: 1337236632 > License: Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) **Dylan Murnane** (born 18 January 1995) is an Australian [football (soccer)](/source/Association_football) player who plays as a [left back](/source/Defender_(association_football)). ## Club career In 2012, Murnane was a member of the [Port Melbourne SC](/source/Port_Melbourne_SC) side that won promotion to the [Victorian Premier League](/source/National_Premier_Leagues_Victoria) and reached the final of the [State Knockout Cup](/source/Dockerty_Cup),[2] before he was recruited by the [Melbourne Victory Youth](/source/Melbourne_Victory_FC_Youth) team. After initially joining the club as member of the youth team in late 2012,[3] Murnane made his professional debut with home town giants [Melbourne Victory](/source/Melbourne_Victory_FC) against [Sydney](/source/Sydney_FC) in a 1–1 draw at [Sydney Football Stadium](/source/Sydney_Football_Stadium_(1988)) in March 2013. He made his home debut and second appearance in a 2–3 loss against [Perth Glory](/source/Perth_Glory) at [AAMI Park](/source/AAMI_Park). During the 2013/14 season he signed a contract extension with Victory that would take him through to the end of the 2015/16 season.[4] Murnane was released by Melbourne Victory on 28 May 2016.[5] On 13 September 2016 he signed a contract with the Norwegian club [Kongsvinger IL Toppfotball](/source/Kongsvinger_IL_Toppfotball).[6] In December 2017, Murnane signed for Finnish [Veikkausliiga](/source/Veikkausliiga) side [IFK Mariehamn](/source/IFK_Mariehamn) on a 2-year-contract with option for a third season.[7] In August 2021, Murnane returned to Australia, joining [A-League](/source/A-League) club [Newcastle Jets](/source/Newcastle_Jets_FC).[8] ## International career In August 2013, Murnane was called up to the [Young Socceroos](/source/Australia_national_under-20_soccer_team) squad for the [L'Alcúdia International Football Tournament](/source/L'Alc%C3%BAdia_International_Football_Tournament) alongside Victory team-mates [Christopher Cristaldo](/source/Christopher_Cristaldo) and Luke Radonich.[9] In 2014, he was named in the squad for the [2014 AFC U-19 Championship](/source/2014_AFC_U-19_Championship)[10] although he did not make any appearances at the tournament as Australia was knocked out at the group stage. ## References 1.
