**Dwayne Anthony Harper**[1] (born March 29, 1966) is an American former professional [football](/source/American_football) player who was a [cornerback](/source/Cornerback) for 12 seasons in the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL). He played [college football](/source/College_football) for the [South Carolina State Bulldogs](/source/South_Carolina_State_Bulldogs_football) and was selected by the [Seattle Seahawks](/source/Seattle_Seahawks) in the 11th round of the [1988 NFL draft](/source/1988_NFL_draft) with the 299th overall pick.[2] Harper started in [Super Bowl XXIX](/source/Super_Bowl_XXIX) for the [San Diego Chargers](/source/San_Diego_Chargers).[3]
