**Dutlwe** is a village in [Kweneng District](/source/Kweneng_District) of [Botswana](/source/Botswana) composed of people from the [Bakgalagadi](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bakgalagadi_people&action=edit&redlink=1) ([tn](https://tn.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sekgalagadi#Morahe_wa_Basarwa_le_Bakgalagadi)) and [Basarwa](/source/San_people) tribes.[1] The population of Dutlwe was 1,464 with 692 males and 772 females in the 2022 census.[2] As part of [IDDS](/source/International_Development_Design_Summit) Botswana 2018, a [bean thresher](/source/Bean_thresher) was installed in the village due to bean farming beaning one of the villages main sources of income.[3][4] The village chief, Motshegetsi Puleng, was arrested for stabbing his girlfriend on July 4, 2020.[5] In November 2022, 2 village residents died after drinking tea that had been suspected to be poisoned. 4 others in the family also went to the hospital, but barely survived.[6][7] There is a Calvary Baptist church in the town led by Pastor Thokwane.[8]
