# Drew Cove

**Drew Cove** ([66°20′S 110°30′E](https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?params=66_20_S_110_30_E)) is a [cove](/source/Cove) indenting the west side of [Mitchell Peninsula](/source/Mitchell_Peninsula) on the [Budd Coast](/source/Budd_Coast). It was first mapped from air photos taken by U.S. Navy [Operation Highjump](/source/Operation_Highjump) and [Operation Windmill](/source/Operation_Windmill) in 1947 and 1948, and was named by the [Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names](/source/Advisory_Committee_on_Antarctic_Names) for Chief Construction Electrician [John W. Drew](/source/John_W._Drew), [U.S. Navy](/source/U.S._Navy), a member of the [Wilkes Station](/source/Wilkes_Station) party of 1958.[1]
