# Draper Hill

**Draper Hill** (1935 – May 13, 2009) was an American cartoonist and writer.[1]

He was educated at [Harvard University](/source/Harvard_University) and from 1958 until 1964 he worked as a reporter and cartoonist for *[The Patriot Ledger](/source/The_Patriot_Ledger)*.[1] He was also the editorial cartoonist for the Memphis Commercial Appeal (1971 -1976) and the *[Detroit News](/source/The_Detroit_News)* (1976-1999).[1]
