# Dragodan

**Dragodan** (Bulgarian: Драгодан) is a village in [Kocherinovo Municipality](/source/Kocherinovo_Municipality), [Kyustendil Province](/source/Kyustendil_Province), south-western [Bulgaria](/source/Bulgaria). As of 2013 it has 94 inhabitants.[1] It is situated close to the right bank of the [Struma River](/source/Struma_(river)) to the north of the village of [Borovets](/source/Borovets,_Kyustendil_Province), at some 2 km to the north-west of the municipal centre [Kocherinovo](/source/Kocherinovo).

At the outbreak of the [First Balkan War](/source/First_Balkan_War) in 1912 one person from Dragodan joined the [Macedonian-Adrianopolitan Volunteer Corps](/source/Macedonian-Adrianopolitan_Volunteer_Corps) that was formed in support the Bulgarian war effort against the [Ottoman Empire](/source/Ottoman_Empire).[2]
