**Draco II / Leavens 4** is a [dwarf](/source/Dwarf_galaxy) [satellite galaxy](/source/Satellite_galaxy) orbiting the [Milky Way](/source/Milky_Way) discovered by the [Pan-STARRS1 3π survey](/source/Pan-STARRS) in 2015.[3] Currently, it is both one of the nearest and dimmest galaxies known to astronomers. Analysis of its stars' distribution in [color–magnitude space](/source/Hertzsprung%E2%80%93Russell_diagram) show that Draco II is approximately 13.5 billion years old.[2]
