In 2012, Singh became National Security Minister. He was later appointed Chairman of the [Belize Social Security Board](/source/Belize_Social_Security_Board) and of the [Belize Elections and Boundaries Commission](/source/Belize_Elections_and_Boundaries_Commission), and became a director of [Belize Telemedia Limited](/source/Belize_Telemedia_Limited). ==Personal life==
Singh's father [George Singh](/source/George_Singh) was a Justice of the [Supreme Court of Belize](/source/Supreme_Court_of_Belize), who served briefly as [Chief Justice](/source/Chief_Justice_of_Belize) in 1998.
