**Donovan Makoma** (born 1 February 1999) is a French professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays for [Maltese Premier League](/source/Maltese_Premier_League) club [Birkirkara](/source/Birkirkara_F.C.) as a [midfielder](/source/Midfielder).

## Club career

Born in [Lille](/source/Lille),[1] after playing with [Lens](/source/RC_Lens), Makoma signed for English club [Barrow](/source/Barrow_A.F.C.) in July 2017.[2]

He moved to [Stevenage](/source/Stevenage_F.C.) in July 2018.[3] He made his professional debut on 14 August 2018, in the [EFL Cup](/source/EFL_Cup).[4]

On 12 October 2018, Makoma joined [National League South](/source/National_League_South) club [Woking](/source/Woking_F.C.) on a 28-day loan.[5]

On 21 December 2018, it was announced that Makoma would join [Southern League](/source/Southern_Football_League) side, [Biggleswade Town](/source/Biggleswade_Town_F.C.) on a one-month loan.[6]

In February 2019, he joined [Wingate & Finchley](/source/Wingate_%26_Finchley_F.C.) on loan until the end of the season.[7]

He was made available for sale by Stevenage at the end of the 2018–19 season.[8]

Following his release from Stevenage, Makoma returned to France to join [Arras](/source/Arras_FA), before moving to Andorran club [UE Santa Coloma](/source/UE_Santa_Coloma).[1]

He represented France at [under-16](/source/France_national_under-16_football_team) youth level.[2]
