# Donau Arena

**Donau Arena** is an arena in [Regensburg](/source/Regensburg), [Germany](/source/Germany). The arena opened in 2001 and holds 4,936 people.

It is primarily used for [ice hockey](/source/Ice_hockey), specifically the [Eisbären Regensburg](/source/Eisb%C3%A4ren_Regensburg) hockey team.[1] When the rink is not in use for hockey, it is open to public [ice skating](/source/Ice_skating).[2]
