**Donaghpatrick** ()[1] is a village and [townland](/source/Townland) in [County Meath](/source/County_Meath), [Ireland](/source/Republic_of_Ireland).[2] It lies approximately 5 km northwest of [Navan](/source/Navan) off the [R147 regional road](/source/R147_road_(Ireland)) between Navan and [Kells](/source/Kells,_County_Meath) on the northern bank of the [River Blackwater](/source/Kells_Blackwater). The [Irish language](/source/Irish_language) name of the [townland](/source/Townland), *Domhnach Phádraig*, means "the church of Patrick".[1] The local [Church of Ireland](/source/Church_of_Ireland) church, dedicated to [Saint Patrick](/source/Saint_Patrick), was built in 1896 close to the site of a much earlier church, and incorporating parts of a medieval [tower house](/source/Tower_house).[3][4] The village is in a [civil parish](/source/Civil_parishes_in_Ireland) of the same name.[1]

The Cruys family from [County Dublin](/source/County_Dublin) owned the manor in medieval times. The inquisition taken after the death of Sir [John Cruys](/source/John_Cruys) of [Merrion Castle](/source/Merrion_Castle) in 1407 lists Donaghpatrick as one of his estates.
