**Don Loren Harper** is an American film [composer](/source/Composer), [songwriter](/source/Songwriter), [conductor](/source/Conducting), and arranger whose credits include films such as *[The Guardian](/source/The_Guardian_(2006_film))*, *[National Treasure](/source/National_Treasure_(film))*, *[Training Day](/source/Training_Day)*, *[Armageddon](/source/Armageddon_(1998_film))*, *[The Rock](/source/The_Rock_(film))*, *[Twister](/source/Twister_(1996_film))*, *[Broken Arrow](/source/Broken_Arrow_(1996_film))*, *[Assassins](/source/Assassins_(1995_film))*, and *[Speed](/source/Speed_(1994_film))*.[1] Harper composed and conducted the music for [Disney's](/source/Walt_Disney_Pictures) direct-to-video releases *[The Lion King 1½](/source/The_Lion_King_1%C2%BD)*, *[Tarzan & Jane](/source/Tarzan_%26_Jane)*, and *[Atlantis: Milo's Return](/source/Atlantis%3A_Milo's_Return)*. It is a sweeping assemblage of vignettes, recorded with a 70-piece orchestra live on the Eastwood Stage at [Warner Bros.](/source/Warner_Bros.) in the Fall of 2006. The production included a 32-member choir, session musician [Dan Higgins](/source/Dan_Higgins) on [soprano saxophone](/source/Soprano_saxophone), jazz pianist [Russell Ferrante](/source/Russell_Ferrante) of [The Yellowjackets](/source/The_Yellowjackets), notable string players [Dave Stone](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dave_Stone_(musician)&action=edit&redlink=1) (upright bass), [Sid Page](/source/Sid_Page) (violin), and [Steve Erdody](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Steve_Erdody&action=edit&redlink=1) (cello).
