# Don Jefferson

**Donald C. Jefferson** (August 15, 1895 – April 17, 1994) was an American [Negro league](/source/Negro_league) [catcher](/source/Catcher) in the 1920s.

A native of [Middleport, Ohio](/source/Middleport,_Ohio), Jefferson attended [Ohio State University](/source/Ohio_State_University). He played for the [Dayton Marcos](/source/Dayton_Marcos) in 1920, and for the [Pittsburgh Keystones](/source/Pittsburgh_Keystones_(baseball)) the following season. Jefferson died in [Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania](/source/Pittsburgh,_Pennsylvania) in 1994 at age 98.[1][2]
