**Don Ferguson** (born May 30, 1946) is a Canadian actor, writer, and producer and is one of the stars of the *[Royal Canadian Air Farce](/source/Royal_Canadian_Air_Farce)*. He and [Dave Broadfoot](/source/Dave_Broadfoot) were the only Canadian-born original cast members of *Air Farce*. In 1998, Ferguson and the original Air Farce cast of [Roger Abbott](/source/Roger_Abbott), [Luba Goy](/source/Luba_Goy), and [John Morgan](/source/John_Morgan_(comedian)) received the [Governor General's Performing Arts Award](/source/Governor_General's_Performing_Arts_Award) for Lifetime Artistic Achievement, Canada's highest honour in the performing arts.[1]

His many *Air Farce* roles included parodies of [Paul Martin](/source/Paul_Martin), [Pierre Trudeau](/source/Pierre_Trudeau), [Ron MacLean](/source/Ron_MacLean), [Jack Layton](/source/Jack_Layton), [Joe Clark](/source/Joe_Clark), [Preston Manning](/source/Preston_Manning), [Stockwell Day](/source/Stockwell_Day), [Rex Murphy](/source/Rex_Murphy), [Lucien Bouchard](/source/Lucien_Bouchard), [Bill Clinton](/source/Bill_Clinton), [Brian Mulroney](/source/Brian_Mulroney), [Vladimir Putin](/source/Vladimir_Putin), [Bob Dylan](/source/Bob_Dylan), and [Keith Richards](/source/Keith_Richards). Many of these portrayals involve Ferguson as the 'straight man' to the more eccentric personalities played by [Roger Abbott](/source/Roger_Abbott).

Don Ferguson is a graduate from Loyola High School, [Loyola College](/source/Loyola_College_(Montreal)), (now [Concordia University](/source/Concordia_University_(Montreal))), in [Montreal](/source/Montreal), with an Honours English degree, and afterward worked in radio and as an audio-visual producer and photographer until he discovered that he preferred comedy writing and performing. He has written and directed documentary programs for [CBC](/source/Canadian_Broadcasting_Corporation), a science-fantasy series for radio (″Johnny Chase″), a political farce for the stage, ("Skin Deep"), and a stage drama about the [World War II](/source/World_War_II) raid of [Dieppe](/source/Dieppe_Raid).[2]

Ferguson starred in the 2004 situation comedy pilot *[XPM](/source/XPM_(TV_series))*. Ferguson is the owner and executive producer of Don Ferguson Productions. In 2012 he produced *[Comedy Bar](/source/Comedy_Bar_(Toronto))*, a sketch comedy series for [Bite TV](/source/Makeful). He previously produced a similar series, *SketchCom*, in the late 1990s. Ferguson was also a producer on the various Air Farce television series since 2004 and has been the executive producer of the annual Air Farce New Year's Eve specials since 2010.[3]
