# Dominic Tirrey

**Dominic Tirrey,** a [Chaplain](/source/Chaplain) to [Henry VIII](/source/Henry_VIII_of_England) was [Bishop of Cork and Cloyne](/source/Bishop_of_Cork_and_Cloyne)[1] from 1536 to 1557[2] despite the appointment being opposed by [Pope Paul III](/source/Pope_Paul_III).[3]
