**Domen Prevc** (born 4 June 1999) is a Slovenian [ski jumper](/source/Ski_jumping). He is one of the most successful ski jumpers of all time with two gold medals at the [Winter Olympics](/source/Winter_Olympics), two gold medals at the [Nordic World Ski Championships](/source/FIS_Nordic_World_Ski_Championships), and three gold medals at the [Ski Flying World Championships](/source/FIS_Ski_Flying_World_Championships). He also won the overall [World Cup](/source/FIS_Ski_Jumping_World_Cup) title in the [2025–26 season](/source/2025%E2%80%9326_FIS_Ski_Jumping_World_Cup), [Ski Flying World Cup](/source/FIS_Ski_Flying_World_Cup) titles in [2025](/source/2024%E2%80%9325_FIS_Ski_Flying_World_Cup) and [2026](/source/2025%E2%80%9326_FIS_Ski_Flying_World_Cup), and the [Four Hills Tournament](/source/Four_Hills_Tournament) in the [2025–26 season](/source/2025%E2%80%9326_Four_Hills_Tournament).

Prevc is one of only two ski jumpers – the other being [Matti Nykänen](/source/Matti_Nyk%C3%A4nen) – to have won all five major titles in ski jumping (Olympic individual gold, World Championship individual gold in both ski jumping and ski flying, the Four Hills Tournament, and the overall World Cup title).[2][3] He is also the current [world record](/source/List_of_the_longest_ski_jumps#Men) holder for the longest official ski jump, landing at 254.5 metres (835 ft) in [Planica](/source/Letalnica_bratov_Gori%C5%A1ek) on 30 March 2025.[4]

## Career

### 2015: World Cup debut

Prevc competed in the [2015 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival](/source/Ski_jumping_at_the_2015_European_Youth_Olympic_Winter_Festival). He made an individual [World Cup](/source/FIS_Ski_Jumping_World_Cup) debut on 22 November 2015 in [Klingenthal](/source/Klingenthal) with eighth place. He needed only four World Cup starts to reach his first podium on 19 December in [Engelberg](/source/Engelberg) where he took second place.[5] At that event, Domen and [Peter Prevc](/source/Peter_Prevc) shared a podium as the first brothers in the World Cup history.[6]

### 2016: First win and yellow bib

Prevc won his first World Cup individual event on 25 November 2016 at the [2016–17](/source/2016%E2%80%9317_FIS_Ski_Jumping_World_Cup) season opening in [Ruka](/source/Rukatunturi), and therefore wore yellow bib as the World Cup overall leader for the first time in his career.[7][8] Shortly after, in December, he won three more World Cup individual events in Klingenthal, [Lillehammer](/source/Lillehammer) and Engelberg.[9][10][11]

### 2017: Ski flying debut

Prevc in 2017

On 28 January 2017 in [Willingen](/source/Willingen), together with his brothers [Cene](/source/Cene_Prevc) and Peter, he represented the Slovenia national team in the team event of the World Cup. It was the first time in history that three brothers were on the same team in a World Cup ski jumping competition.[12]

Despite his age, he competed for the first time in his career at the [ski flying](/source/Ski_flying) event in [Oberstdorf](/source/Oberstdorf) on 3 February. On 19 March in [Vikersund](/source/Vikersund), he improved his personal best jump to 243.5 metres (799 ft).[13]

## Personal life

Prevc was born in [Kranj](/source/Kranj) to Božidar and Julijana Prevc; the family has since been living in the village of [Dolenja Vas](/source/Dolenja_Vas%2C_%C5%BDelezniki). He has two brothers and two sisters.[14][15] Both of his brothers, [Peter](/source/Peter_Prevc) and [Cene](/source/Cene_Prevc), and one of his sisters, [Nika](/source/Nika_Prevc), are also [FIS Ski Jumping World Cup](/source/FIS_Ski_Jumping_World_Cup) jumpers.[14] His father, who owns a furniture business, is also an international ski jumping referee.[16]
