## Critical reception

Connie Johnson of *[Los Angeles Times](/source/Los_Angeles_Times)* considered "Do You Think About Us" one of the best songs from *Total* and described it as evoking the music of [Faith Evans](/source/Faith_Evans) and [T-Boz](/source/Tionne_Watkins).[1] Jacqueline Springer of *[Muzik](/source/Muzik)* commented that the song possesses a "cutesy vulnerability".[2]
