**Dmitry Ivanovich Kursky** ([Russian](/source/Russian_language): Дми́трий Ива́нович Ку́рский; 22 October [[O.S.](/source/Old_Style_and_New_Style_dates) 10 October] 1874 – 20 December 1932) was a [Soviet](/source/Soviets) [Ukrainian](/source/Ukrainians) jurist and statesman.

Kursky joined the [Bolshevik](/source/Bolshevik) faction of the [Russian Social Democratic Labour Party](/source/Russian_Social_Democratic_Labour_Party) in 1904. He served as the chairman of the [Drissa](/source/Drissa) town [Soviet](/source/Soviet_Union). He was the [People's Commissar for Justice](/source/Ministry_of_Justice_(Soviet_Union)) of the [RSFSR](/source/RSFSR) and the [USSR](/source/USSR) from 1918–1928.[1] He died on 20 December 1932, aged 58.[2]
