== Debut album ==
Having released 2 [EP](/source/Extended_play)s, Direct Influence commenced development of their first studio album in 2009.

Currently, Direct Influence are backed by a four piece live performance band consisting of [drums](/source/drums), [bass](/source/Bass_guitar), [keys](/source/Keyboard_instrument) and [lead guitar](/source/lead_guitar). Live drums are performed by Matt Bray from The Metals and [28 Days](/source/28_Days_(band)), Lucas Taranto ([Gotye](/source/Gotye)) or Pat Kilby (The Red Eyes) on Bass Guitar, [Mikey Chan](/source/Mikey_Chan) on Lead Guitar ([Pharoahe Monch](/source/Pharoahe_Monch)/Phrase/[M-Phazes](/source/M-Phazes)) and Jarrah Whyte on keys. Through 2010 this [session musician](/source/session_musician) line-up also included rotation of Ivan (Choi) Khatchoyan (of Cookin on Three Burners), Simon Mavin (of Whitesploitation) and Luke Saunders on keys.
