**Dinajpur-6** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). The current [Member of Parliament](/source/Member_of_Parliament) in this constituency is [A. Z. M. Zahid Hossain](/source/A._Z._M._Zahid_Hossain) of [Bangladesh Nationalist Party](/source/Bangladesh_Nationalist_Party).

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Birampur](/source/Birampur_Upazila), [Ghoraghat](/source/Ghoraghat_Upazila), [Hakimpur](/source/Hakimpur_Upazila) and [Nawabganj](/source/Nawabganj_Upazila%2C_Dinajpur) upazilas.[1][2]

## History

The constituency was created for the first general elections in newly independent Bangladesh, which was held in 1973.
