**Dinajpur-5** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). Since 13th February, 2026, this constituency is represented by a Independent Candidate by the name of [AZM Rezwanul Haque](/source/AZM_Rezwanul_Haque), formerly a [Bangladesh Nationalist Party](/source/Bangladesh_Nationalist_Party) Rebel Candidate.

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Fulbari](/source/Fulbari_Upazila) and [Parbatipur](/source/Parbatipur_Upazila) upazilas.[1][2]

## History

The constituency was created for the first general elections in newly independent Bangladesh, held in 1973.
