**Dinajpur-1** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). Since 13th February, 2026, this constituency is represented by [Md. Manzurul Islam](/source/Md._Manjurul_Islam), a candidate of the [Bangladesh Nationalist Party](/source/Bangladesh_Nationalist_Party).

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Birganj](/source/Birganj_Upazila) and [Kaharole](/source/Kaharole_Upazila) upazilas.[1][2]

## History

The constituency was created for the first general elections in newly independent Bangladesh, held in 1973.
