# Dimitrios Thanopoulos

**Dimitrios Thanopoulos** (Greek: Δημήτριος Θανόπουλος, born 2 August 1959) is a [Greek](/source/Greece) former [wrestler](/source/Amateur_wrestling) who competed in the [1984 Summer Olympics](/source/1984_Summer_Olympics).[1] He was named the 1984 [Greek Male Athlete of the Year](/source/Greek_Male_Athlete_of_the_Year). He was born in [Stemnitsa](/source/Stemnitsa), [Arkadia](/source/Arkadia).
