'''Digital Catapult''' is the [UK](/source/UK) innovation agency for advanced digital technology, developed in conjunction with [Innovate UK](/source/Innovate_UK) (former Technology Strategy Board) as part of the [Catapult centres](/source/Catapult_centres). Digital Catapult works with startups, industries, investors, public sector and academia to accelerates the adoption of new and emerging technologies, with the aim of driving regional, national and international growth for UK businesses across the economy.

==Chief executives==
Neil Crockett was Digital Catapult's founding CEO, serving from January 2013 to June 2016.

The Catapult is now recruiting for a new CEO. ==Function==
Digital Catapult focuses on how digital technologies are applied in areas including [supply chains](/source/supply_chains), digital infrastructure and [cyber-physical systems](/source/cyber-physical_systems), acting in a similar way to a [business incubator](/source/business_incubator). It's technology expertise includes [artificial intelligence](/source/artificial_intelligence) (AI), [machine learning](/source/machine_learning), [distributed systems](/source/distributed_systems), [immersive technology](/source/immersive_technology) ([AR](/source/augmented_reality), [VR](/source/virtual_reality)), [telecommunications](/source/telecommunications) ([5G](/source/5G)), [quantum computing](/source/quantum_computing) and the [Internet of things](/source/Internet_of_things).

It offers organisations [accelerator programmes](/source/Startup_accelerator), consultancy, collaborative [research & development](/source/research_%26_development), and the setup and operation of [testbed](/source/testbed) facilities.

Staff are kept up to date and informed of changes via a so called PULSE meeting which is held from time to time. Trust was a theme of the latest update.

The reorganisation still continues with new jobs appearing on their website regularly.
