'''Digby Neck''' is a Canadian [peninsula](/source/peninsula) extending into the [Bay of Fundy](/source/Bay_of_Fundy) in [Digby County](/source/Digby_County%2C_Nova_Scotia), [Nova Scotia](/source/Nova_Scotia).

Digby Neck is the western extension of the [North Mountain](/source/North_Mountain_(Nova_Scotia)) range from the [Annapolis Valley](/source/Annapolis_Valley) and is made of two thick [lava](/source/lava) flows. It is separated from the eastern portion of the North Mountain by a deep, tidal channel, the [Digby Gut](/source/Digby_Gut). Along with [Long Island](/source/Long_Island_(Nova_Scotia)) and [Brier Island](/source/Brier_Island), it forms the northwest shore of [St. Mary's Bay](/source/St._Marys_Bay%2C_Nova_Scotia).<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.novascotia.com/about-nova-scotia/blogs/six-great-seacoast-drives-nova-scotia|website=novascotia.com| title=Six Great Seacoast Drives in Nova Scotia. The westernmost community on the Digby Neck is [East Ferry](/source/East_Ferry%2C_Nova_Scotia), opposite [Tiverton](/source/Tiverton%2C_Nova_Scotia) on Long Island to the west.  The "Petit Passage" separates Long Island from the Digby Neck.{{cite web|url=http://nstravelguide.com/transport/ferry/digbyneckferries|website=Nova Scotia Travel Guide| title=Digby Neck Ferries|author=Andrew & Friedel| access-date=5 February 2018}}

In 2018 [Bilcon](/source/Bilcon) sought to blast a [gravel quarry](/source/gravel_quarry) on the Digby Neck, but an environmental impact study killed the plan.<ref>https://www.bilaterals.org/?digby-neck-quarry-claim-pm-should</ref>
