He played [college basketball](/source/college_basketball) for the [Hampton Pirates](/source/Hampton_Pirates_men's_basketball), finishing in 2005. After his tenure at Hampton University, he joined the [Los Angeles Lakers](/source/Los_Angeles_Lakers) for the [2005–2006 season](/source/2005%E2%80%9306_NBA_season).

==Professional career==
He was [undrafted](/source/undrafted) out of [Hampton University](/source/Hampton_University), and was signed by the [Los Angeles Lakers](/source/Los_Angeles_Lakers) as a free agent, appearing in 27 games in the 2005–2006 season. On October 30, 2006, he was waived by the Lakers.<ref>[http://www.nba.com/transactions/oct2006_trans.html NBA.com<!-- Bot generated title -->]</ref>  Green played for the [NBDL](/source/NBDL) team the [Los Angeles D-Fenders](/source/Los_Angeles_D-Fenders) halfway through the season of 2006–07, but then left for the [German Basketball League](/source/Basketball_Bundesliga) team [RheinEnergie Köln](/source/RheinEnergie_K%C3%B6ln). As a member of RheinEnergie Köln, he won the 2006–07 German National Cup and helped reach the German national championship semi-finals.

He signed a contract with the [Miami Heat](/source/Miami_Heat) on August 11, 2007, but was waived on October 29, 2007, from the team. In February 2008, he signed for the [Italian First Division](/source/Serie_A_(basketball)) team of [Siviglia Wear Teramo](/source/Siviglia_Wear_Teramo).
