He directed [Aankhen](/source/Aankhen_(1950_film)) on his debut. Devendra Goel also directed the Marathi film, ''Dost Asava Tar Asa'' with [Ramesh Deo](/source/Ramesh_Deo), [Deven Varma](/source/Deven_Verma) and [Padma Chavan](/source/Padma_Chavan). He directed the hit ''[Ek Saal](/source/Ek_Saal_(1957_film))'' (1957) with [Madhubala](/source/Madhubala).
