Thomas, a centre, played with many clubs during his career, with appearances for [Bath](/source/Bath_Rugby), Brynamman, Cwmgors, [Llanelli](/source/Llanelli_RFC), [Neath](/source/Neath_RFC), the RAF, Skewen and Tenby United. His solitary [Wales](/source/Wales_national_rugby_union_team) cap, a [1954 Five Nations](/source/1954_Five_Nations) match against Ireland at Lansdowne Road, came while he was with Llanelli.
