## Early life

Lacey was born in [Dublin](/source/Dublin), [Ireland](/source/Republic_of_Ireland) and grew up in [Bray](/source/Bray%2C_County_Wicklow), [County Wicklow](/source/County_Wicklow), [Ireland](/source/Republic_of_Ireland). ## Biography

Lacey began his radio career on [Dublin](/source/Dublin) Special Interest Radio Station, [Dublin City FM](/source/Dublin_City_FM) at the age of 14 and then later moved on to [East Coast FM](/source/East_Coast_FM) in [County Wicklow](/source/County_Wicklow).

His Late Night Sessions Show ran on [RTÉ 2FM](/source/RT%C3%89_2FM) for three years[1][2] where he presented the [Jamaican music](/source/Music_of_Jamaica) show *[Black Echoes](/source/Black_Echoes)*.

Lacey worked across [Classic Hits 4FM](/source/Classic_Hits_4FM) and [Sunshine 106.8](/source/Sunshine_106.8) as an imaging producer for the stations owned by Bay Broadcasting Ltd. He left [Classic Hits 4FM](/source/Classic_Hits_4FM) in 2015 for a new position with [Spin South West](/source/Spin_South_West) in a similar role.[3]

He has also worked for [98FM](/source/98FM_(Ireland)) and [East Coast FM](/source/East_Coast_FM) and was assistant station manager for Jam FM at [Scouting Ireland](/source/Scouting_Ireland)'s [2008 Jamboree](/source/Jamboree_2008_(Ireland)).[4]
