Cronenberg was born in [Toronto](/source/Toronto), [Ontario](/source/Ontario) and was the sister of film director [David Cronenberg](/source/David_Cronenberg) and the mother of filmmaker [Aaron Woodley](/source/Aaron_Woodley). She produced work for films such as *[Dawn of the Dead](/source/Dawn_of_the_Dead_(2004_film))* and *[The Incredible Hulk](/source/The_Incredible_Hulk_(film))*. Cronenberg and her brother first worked together on 1986's *[The Fly](/source/The_Fly_(1986_film))*, a remake of the *[1958 film of the same name](/source/The_Fly_(1958_film))*.
