**Denise Cronenberg** (1 October 1938 – 22 May 2020) was a Canadian [costume designer](/source/Costume_designer).

Cronenberg was born in [Toronto](/source/Toronto), [Ontario](/source/Ontario) and was the sister of film director [David Cronenberg](/source/David_Cronenberg) and the mother of filmmaker [Aaron Woodley](/source/Aaron_Woodley). She produced work for films such as *[Dawn of the Dead](/source/Dawn_of_the_Dead_(2004_film))* and *[The Incredible Hulk](/source/The_Incredible_Hulk_(film))*.

Cronenberg and her brother first worked together on 1986's *[The Fly](/source/The_Fly_(1986_film))*, a remake of the *[1958 film of the same name](/source/The_Fly_(1958_film))*. [1] They went on to collaborate on many other films including *[Dead Ringers](/source/Dead_Ringers_(film))*, *[Naked Lunch](/source/Naked_Lunch_(film))*, *[Crash](/source/Crash_(1996_film))*, *[Eastern Promises](/source/Eastern_Promises)*, *[Spider](/source/Spider_(2002_film))*, and *[A Dangerous Method](/source/A_Dangerous_Method)*, receiving several award nominations for her designs. She died due to "complications from old age" in [Burlington](/source/Burlington%2C_Ontario), Ontario in May 2020 at the age of 81.[3]
