Political party in Serbia

The **Democratic Fatherland Party** ([Serbian](/source/Serbian_language): Демократска странка отаџбина/ Demokratska stranka otadžbina) was a political party in Serbia.

The party was led by [Radoslav Avlijaš](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Radoslav_Avlija%C5%A1&action=edit&redlink=1) from 19 August 2002.[1] In the [2003 parliamentary election](/source/2003_Serbian_parliamentary_election) it was part of the [Independent Serbia](/source/Independent_Serbia_(political_alliance)) coalition and won no seats.

In the invalidated [2003 presidential election](/source/2003_Serbian_presidential_election) Avlijaš came in last with 0.83% of the vote.[2] His key goals were achieving inner and international stability, reducing poverty, expanding the middle class, investing in scientific research and the [accession of Serbia to the EU](/source/Accession_of_Serbia_to_the_European_Union).[3]

The party officially ceased to exist on 14 April 2010.[4]
