The '''Delinya''' ({{langx|ru|Делинья}}; {{langx|sah|Дэлинньэ|Delinņe}}) is a river in [Tompo District](/source/Tompo_District), [Yakutia](/source/Yakutia) (Sakha Republic), [Russian Federation](/source/Russian_Federation), a right tributary of the [Tompo](/source/Tompo), part of the [Aldan](/source/Aldan_(river)) / [Lena](/source/Lena_(river)) basin. It has a length of {{convert|357|km|mi}} and a [drainage basin](/source/drainage_basin) area of {{convert|12500|km2|mi2}}.<ref name=gvr>{{GVR|249279|Река Делинья}}</ref>

The river flows across a desolate area of [Tompo District](/source/Tompo_District). The nearest inhabited place is [Topolinoye](/source/Topolinoye), located by the banks of the [Tompo](/source/Tompo), to the south of its confluence with the Delinya.<ref name="GЕ">[Google Earth](/source/Google_Earth)</ref> The name of both the river and the lake is derived from the [Even](/source/Even_language) ''Delinde'', meaning "big [taimen](/source/taimen)."<ref>Myarikyanova E. ==Course==
The Delinya originates in an area of high-altitude lakes of the [Elgi Plateau](/source/Elgi_Plateau). It has its sources very close to lake Delinya, with an area of {{convert|7.5|km2|abbr=on}}, and flows across it.<ref name=gvr2>{{GVR|249725|Озеро Делинья}}</ref><ref name=ONC/><ref name=YKT/> The river heads roughly westwards across the mountain area and then it bends southwestwards and flows southwards with the [Khunkhadin Range](/source/Khunkhadin_Range) to the west. ===Tributaries===
The main tributaries of the Delinya are the {{convert|82|km|mi|abbr=on}} long Singyami on the left, as well as the {{convert|96|km|mi|abbr=on}} long Noluchu and the {{convert|92|km|mi|abbr=on}} long Imnekan on the right. The river is fed by snow and rain. It freezes before mid October and stays frozen until the second half of May. There are 860 lakes in the river basin.<ref name=YKT/>
