**Deane Alexander Williams** (born 23 September 1996) is a British professional [basketball](/source/Basketball) player for the [London Lions](/source/London_Lions_(basketball)) of the [Super League Basketball](/source/Super_League_Basketball) (SLB). He played [college basketball](/source/College_basketball) for the [Augusta Jaguars](/source/Augusta_Jaguars_men's_basketball)[1] where he was named the [Peach Belt](/source/Peach_Belt_Conference) Co-Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in 2019. In 2021, he was named the [Úrvalsdeild Foreign Player of the Year](/source/%C3%9Arvalsdeild_karla_Player_of_the_Year).

## College career

Williams played [college basketball](/source/College_basketball) for [Augusta University](/source/Augusta_University) from 2015 to 2019. He left the school eleventh on its all-time scoring list and finished in the top five in schools history in blocks and rebounds.[2]

## Professional career

In the summer of 2019, Williams signed with [Úrvalsdeild karla](/source/%C3%9Arvalsdeild_karla_(basketball)) club [Keflavík](/source/Keflav%C3%ADk_men's_basketball).[3][4] During his first season, he averaged 15.6 points and 9.9 rebounds before the final game of the regular season and playoffs were canceled due to the [2020 coronavirus pandemic in Iceland](/source/2020_coronavirus_pandemic_in_Iceland). In April 2020, he re-signed with Keflavík.[5][6] Following the season he was named the [Úrvalsdeild Foreign Player of the Year](/source/%C3%9Arvalsdeild_karla_Player_of_the_Year).[7]

In July 2021, Williams signed with [LNB Pro B](/source/LNB_Pro_B) club [Saint-Quentin](/source/Saint-Quentin_Basket-Ball).[8]

On 28 June 2022 Williams signed with [Telekom Baskets Bonn](/source/Telekom_Baskets_Bonn) of the German [Basketball Bundesliga](/source/Basketball_Bundesliga).[9]

On 18 July 2023 he signed with [Baskets Oldenburg](/source/Baskets_Oldenburg) of the [Basketball Bundesliga](/source/Basketball_Bundesliga).[10]

On 5 July 2024 he signed with [Napoli Basket](/source/Napoli_Basket_(2016)) of the Italian [Lega Basket Serie A](/source/Lega_Basket_Serie_A) (LBA).[11]

On November 11, 2024, he signed with [MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg](/source/Riesen_Ludwigsburg) of the [Basketball Bundesliga](/source/Basketball_Bundesliga) (BBL).[12]

On March 13, 2025, he signed with [Anwil Włocławek](/source/KK_W%C5%82oc%C5%82awek) of the [Polish Basketball League](/source/Polish_Basketball_League) (PLK).[13]

## National team career
