**Dean David** (or Din,[1] [Hebrew](/source/Hebrew_language): דין דוד; born 14 March 1996) is an Israeli [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [forward](/source/Forward_(association_football)) for [J.League](/source/J.League) club [Yokohama F. Marinos](/source/Yokohama_F._Marinos) and the [Israel football team](/source/Israel_national_football_team).

## Early life

David was born and raised in [Nehora](/source/Nehora), [Israel](/source/Israel),[2] to a family of [Jewish](/source/Jewish) descent.[3] His younger brother Yanay David is also a footballer who plays for Israeli club [Bnei Eilat](/source/Bnei_Eilat_F.C.).[4][5]

He was [enlisted](/source/Conscription_in_Israel) to serve as a soldier in the [Israel Defense Forces](/source/Israel_Defense_Forces) in 2014.[6][7][8]

## Club career

### Maccabi Haifa

On 5 October 2022, David scored both his debut goal as well as his Israeli side's first away goal in the [2022–23 UEFA Champions League group stage](/source/2022%E2%80%9323_UEFA_Champions_League_group_stage#Group_H), coming on as 72nd substitute against Italian side [Juventus](/source/Juventus_FC), in a match that ended in a 1–3 away loss for Maccabi Haifa.[9]

## International career

He has been a youth international for the [Israel U-19](/source/Israel_national_under-19_football_team) in 2014, and for the [Israel U-21](/source/Israel_national_under-21_football_team) from 2015 to 2016.[5]

David was first called-up to the Israeli senior side on 17 March 2022, ahead of the friendly matches against [Germany](/source/Germany_national_football_team) and [Romania](/source/Germany_national_football_team_records_and_statistics). He made his senior debut for the [Israel national team](/source/Israel_national_football_team) on 26 March 2022, coming on as 63rd substitute against [Germany](/source/Germany_national_football_team), in a [friendly match](/source/Friendly_match) that ended in a 0–2 away loss for Israel.[10]
