== Early life and education ==
Rimane was born in [Kourou](/source/Kourou) in 1979, the same year [Ariane 1](/source/Ariane_1) held its [maiden flight](/source/maiden_flight) at the [Guiana Space Centre](/source/Guiana_Space_Centre) located within the town.
