'''Davis Coast''' ({{coord|64|S|60|W|scale:2000000_source:GNIS|display=inline,title}}) is that portion of the west coast of the [Antarctic Peninsula](/source/Antarctic_Peninsula) between [Cape Kjellman](/source/Cape_Kjellman) and [Cape Sterneck](/source/Cape_Sterneck). It was named by the [Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names](/source/Advisory_Committee_on_Antarctic_Names) for Captain [John Davis](/source/John_Davis_(sealer)), the English-born American sealer who claimed to have made the first recorded landing on the continent of Antarctica at [Hughes Bay](/source/Hughes_Bay) on this coast in the ''Cecilia'', February 7, 1821.
