Born in [Casalmaggiore](/source/Casalmaggiore), [Cremona](/source/Cremona), Ferrario graduated in [Anglo-American](/source/Anglo-Americans) literature, then he began to work in film distribution, and he contributed to import in Italy many [indie film](/source/indie_film)s by [John Sayles](/source/John_Sayles), [Jim Jarmusch](/source/Jim_Jarmusch), [Susan Seidelman](/source/Susan_Seidelman), [Godfrey Reggio](/source/Godfrey_Reggio).<ref name=bio>{{cite news|last=Si.
