**David Wayman** (born 27 January 1988) is an [English](/source/English_people) [actor](/source/Actor).

## Early life

Wayman (born David Place) grew up in [Enfield](/source/Enfield_Town), [London](/source/London) and attended Lochinver House School and [St. Columba's College](/source/St_Columba's_College,_St_Albans).

Aged 18, he joined [The Rifles](/source/The_Rifles) as a [reservist](/source/Army_Reserve_(United_Kingdom)).

## Career

Wayman trained at [East 15 Acting School](/source/East_15_Acting_School) in [Loughton](/source/Loughton).

Early work saw him taking a lead role in [Martin Gooch](/source/Martin_Gooch)'s *After Death* opposite [Ben Shockley](/source/Ben_Shockley), [Leslie Phillips](/source/Leslie_Phillips) and [Paul Freeman](/source/Paul_Freeman_(actor)), before playing a leading role in *Knight Knight* in 2012.[1]

In 2014, he was featured in the [*Evening Standard*](/source/London_Evening_Standard)[2] for having lead roles in five films at [Cannes Film Festival](/source/Cannes_Film_Festival).

In 2014, he starred in *Wandering Rose*,[3] released by [Entertainment One](/source/Entertainment_One)[4] and [Shoreline Entertainment](/source/Shoreline_Entertainment)'s *Art Ache*.[5]
