**David Allen Pool** (born December 20, 1966) is an American former professional [football](/source/Gridiron_football) [defensive back](/source/Defensive_back) in the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL) who played for the [Buffalo Bills](/source/Buffalo_Bills), [New England Patriots](/source/New_England_Patriots), and [Miami Dolphins](/source/Miami_Dolphins).[4] He played [college football](/source/College_football) for the [Tennessee State Tigers](/source/Tennessee_State_Tigers_football) and [Carson–Newman Eagles](/source/Carson%E2%80%93Newman_Eagles). Pool was selected by the [San Diego Chargers](/source/San_Diego_Chargers) in the sixth round of the [1990 NFL draft](/source/1990_NFL_draft).[5]
