**David Engelke** is an American entrepreneur who purchased audio manufacturing company [Solid State Logic](/source/Solid_State_Logic) in cooperation with musician [Peter Gabriel](/source/Peter_Gabriel) in 2005. The imaging, editing and analysis technologies he developed have earned him and his companies three [EMMY Awards](/source/Emmy_Award) from the [National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences](/source/National_Academy_of_Television_Arts_and_Sciences) and an [OSCAR](/source/Academy_Awards) from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences and a technical [GRAMMY](/source/Grammy_Award) award from the Recording Academy.[1][2]
