**David Crellin** (born 1961) is an [English](/source/England) [actor](/source/Actor).

Crellin, who was born in [Sheffield](/source/Sheffield), [South Yorkshire](/source/South_Yorkshire), is known for roles in *[Emmerdale](/source/Emmerdale)* as [Billy Hopwood](/source/Billy_Hopwood),[1] [BBC 2](/source/BBC_2)'s [BAFTA Award](/source/BAFTA_Award)-winning series *[The Cops](/source/The_Cops_(British_TV_series))* as Alan Wakefield, and *[Coronation Street](/source/Coronation_Street)* as [gangster](/source/Gangster) Jimmy Clayton, charge nurse Thornton who looked after Don Brennan after his car crash, and receiver Graham Baxter who wound up MVB Motors. He also starred as Jimmy Grainger in the first series of *[Waterloo Road](/source/Waterloo_Road_(TV_series))* on [BBC One](/source/BBC_One).

Signed to [British](/source/United_Kingdom) [independent record label](/source/Independent_record_label) Everyday Records 2008, Crellin recorded a debut EP *Innocent Bystander*. In 2010 he returned to *[Coronation Street](/source/Coronation_Street)* in another role; that of [Colin Fishwick](/source/Colin_Fishwick), a teacher friend of [John Stape](/source/John_Stape).
