**David Butler** (born 1992) is an [Irish](/source/Irish_people) [hurler](/source/Hurling) who plays as a right wing-forward for the [Kerry](/source/Kerry_GAA) senior team.

Born in [Dundrum](/source/Dundrum%2C_County_Tipperary), [County Tipperary](/source/County_Tipperary), Butler first played competitive hurling during his schooling at Cashel Community sive School. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the [Tipperary](/source/Tipperary_GAA) minor team before later joining the junior [Gaelic football](/source/Gaelic_football) team. He made his senior debut for Kerry during the [2014 league](/source/2014_National_Hurling_League). Butler quickly became a regular member of the starting fifteen and has won one [Christy Ring Cup](/source/Christy_Ring_Cup) medal.[1] He has been a Christy Ring Cup runner-up on one occasion.

At club level Butler plays with [Knockavilla–Donaskeigh Kickhams](/source/Knockavilla%E2%80%93Donaskeigh_Kickhams_GAA).
