'''Dave Stala''' (born October 25, 1979) is a former professional [Canadian football](/source/Canadian_football) [slotback](/source/slotback) who played in the [Canadian Football League](/source/Canadian_Football_League) (CFL). He was originally drafted in the 6th round, 50th overall by the [Montreal Alouettes](/source/Montreal_Alouettes) as a [placekicker](/source/placekicker) in [2003](/source/2003_CFL_Draft). He played [CIS football](/source/CIS_football) for the [Saint Mary's Huskies](/source/Saint_Mary's_Huskies). After injury-plagued seasons in [2007](/source/2007_Montreal_Alouettes_season) and [2008](/source/2008_Montreal_Alouettes_season), he signed with the [Hamilton Tiger-Cats](/source/Hamilton_Tiger-Cats) in [2009](/source/2009_Hamilton_Tiger-Cats_season) and rejuvenated his career in his hometown. Stala is well known for a unique [soccer](/source/soccer)-inspired touchdown celebration which he performed on July 31, 2010.
